Our second annual Feast Day is an opportunity for the citizens of Saint Louis to pay homage to our patron saint by imbibing great food and beer in generous company. This party is no costume affair, and no tickets are sold. It is, at heart, a populist event where we can celebrate what it is that brings us together as neighbors — to keep the civic soul active in remembrance of past glory and future potential. To our mind, there is no better medium than locally-produced craft beer to convey that sense of community and the spirit of growth. This Feast Day, we are lucky to partner with the Civil Life Brewing Company, a yearling brewery and fellow inhabitant of the Tower Grove South neighborhood, to produce a Kolsch-style festival ale meant to be enjoyed on a late summer day, evocative of the gilded age of Saint Louis, when every neighborhood had its own biergarten.
