Royale update 11/16 and yard signs
Welcome to the weekly update from the Royale.

I Specials
We got a new post-election special. A good friend of mine gave me the idea of this bar of a special and we figured how to put a little extra twist to it.
Through the month of November, we will be granting a dollar off a drink for each political yard sign you bring in. If you bring in a winner’s yard sign, candidacy or proposition, you get a dollar off a drink.
And if you bring in a loser’s sign we will give you a dollar fifty off a drink.
One sign per person per visit. Must be from the fall 2006 Elections. I will honor all areas of the region. Illinois, the county, outstate or the city. I will need to trust you to honestly tell us if you bring in an obscure outstate elected judge sign if he/she was indeed retained. All signs that are made of recyclable material will be recycled, and not necessarily in traditional recyclable methods.
And don’t forget our daily specials. We are running lunch and dinner specials every day. We have an outstanding Griesedieck Beer battered Tilapia sandwich on rye with mac’n cheese every Friday. Check out specials every day at: http://www.theroyale.com/blog/?cat=3
We also have some hoppin’ specials at the Royale. Everyday we have the Two Martini Lunch- Two for one Martinis. We feature the Vodka Royale, the River Des Peres and a martini of the day at a two for one price.
We also have the happy hour special everyday with $2.50 drafts of Schlafly Hefeweizen, Coffee Stout, O’Fallon IPA and Griesedieck Beer along with half price spinach artichoke dip, hummus and crab cakes.
Every Sunday is Subcontinental Sundays with our signature Subcontinental of Bombay Sapphire, Cointreau, lime juice and… fresh cucumber juice. Mighty fine, on ice or up only for five bucks.

This week’s free drink Trivia:
What was the name and team colors of the proposed Saint Louis Pro Football Expansion Team that we lost out on in the 90s?
Last week’s question: What was the original French name of Kingshighway?
Thank you to Terry who nailed it in about two minutes with Rue de Roi. Rue de Royale is also acceptable.
